My eggs came out perfectly as I liked them (not runny at all) the first time I used these, which I recorded using my camcorder. I am a beginning cook, as you can probably tell from the video. It does take a little bit of watching during the 4-6 minutes while you are cooking them to make sure to get them just as you prefer them; mine took 5 minutes. I hope it helps you to see exactly how to use them. It's fun and pretty easy, even for someone new to cooking like me!

This product is great. It makes poaching eggs easy. The eggs taste better than eggs poached directly in water, and they look great. Plus the pods take up NO extra room in your kitchen and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. It took me two tries to get the hang of sliding the eggs out of the pod perfectly, but I love this product. We use it every weekend. It makes poached eggs actually easier to make than any other kind.

These little wonders are the first consistent way of making poached eggs that I have ever seen. I read the reviews of others and made sure to spray with non-stick, then followed the directions. I haven't had a single egg be anything other than medium poached. (Just the way I like them) I haven't had any runny whites or hard rock yellows.
In addition, I am able to make eight at a time, using my large pot. All four of us in the family can have hot Eggs Benedict at the same time. The kids also love the little domes that the pods make after flipping them out.

To Mr. "silicone does not work for this product" i assume you have not tried this product, or read the instructions on it's use. It clearly states to use a lid on the pot of boiling water. Yes silicone is great at keeping heat at bay, but the lid acts as a steamer, cooking the egg all the way round (top included).
I bought this product as an easy way to make my fav dish (w/o having to spend allot of $) It works great, is very easy to use and clean. No problem getting the eggs out, and they only come out when you scoup them out. So you don't have to worrky about loosing your eggs on the way to the plate :D. Plus they look great! 5 stars in my book!!
